It’s official: Swifties have entered their “showgirl era.”
It didn’t take long after the Aug. 12 album announcement for T. Swift super-fans to decode dozens of TS12 Easter eggs, and in a similar time frame, savvy Etsy sellers hopped on board with The Life of a Showgirl fan-made merch. And now that Swift’s twelfth studio album is officially here, the limited-edition vinyl and CDs are joined by an even bigger influx of unofficial sweatshirts, tees, totes, caps, phone cases and, of course, friendship bracelets.
Each of Swift’s eras is accompanied by a color, and her newest era is visually represented by orange and green. As such, the slew of unofficial fan merch sees those two colors — along with the central lock motif — at the forefront.
