Kevin Hart isn’t afraid to put sweat equity into his investments. The comedian and Hartbeat Ventures founder and wife Eniko Hart have released a new nature-inspired line of activewear with Fabletics, the affordable fitness apparel line co-founded by Kate Hudson in 2013. It marks the couple’s second collection with the label, which Kevin Hart joined last year as an investor and face of the company. (His portfolio also includes high-end rower Hydrow, BrightFox energy drinks and sports nutrition brand Nutrabolt.)
“I’ve been involved in health and wellness for a long time so at this point in my career having an opportunity to make a real impact was top of the list in terms of priorities,” Hart tells The Hollywood Reporter. “With Fabletics, I’ve been able to get in at the ground level where I have input on the direction of the men’s line, the quality of the product, and the relationship with the customer. I’ve worked with a lot of brands but no one has had the ability to connect directly with the customer base like Fabletics. I love how I am able to build a dynamic with not only the brand team, but also our customers because we are direct-to-consumer. Fabletics gives me an unbelievable opportunity to connect with my fan base genuinely and transparently, and vice versa.”

Dubbed “Wanderer,” the unisex collection ($15 to $90) was inspired by the Harts’ love for working out in the great outdoors and is infused with utilitarian and streetwear design touches as well as details from rock climbing and hiking gear. That translates to a foldable puffer jacket in vibrant cobalt blue, multi-pocket cargo pants, an “anti-stink” crewneck sweater made of recycled polyester and cotton and a versatile waterproof crossbody bag with zippered compartments. Shoppers can also enjoy exclusive savings when they sign up for the fitness brand’s VIP membership ($50 per month).

Eniko Hart explains, “after the success of our first collection with Fabletics, we were able to get feedback directly from customers to incorporate into this new collection. I love that I can share my passion for the health and wellness space through a brand that is truly a representation of who I am.”
“Quality and comfort are key, especially when you like variety in your workout routine like I do,” continues Kevin Hart. “I love the feeling of being comfortable when being uncomfortable. I want to be able to move however I need to without losing the fit, so the right structure and material is important. It’s also about simplicity for me. I want feel-good fabrics, the right fit and feel, and utility features like pockets in the right places. What we’ve learned in building Fabletics Men is that there are a lot of guys out there who don’t want to be overwhelmed with complicated tech or design in their gear. Most guys just want their workout clothes to feel good and look good, from the beginning of their workout to the end. That’s what Fabletics is doing in a way no one else is.”
Kevin Hart was named the creative director of Hydrow last year and calls the high-end rowing machine among his favorite workouts. Fabletics is the activewear partner of the fitness gear company.
“I like to mix it up every day. What matters most to me is that a workout is far from boring, and that’s exactly what you get with Hydrow,” says. “I need every day to be different so having an at-home workout option keeps me at the top of my game.”
As for Eniko Hart, “yoga keeps me grounded so I love that Hydrow has mat classes in addition to rowing. The exclusive ‘Hydrow on the Mat’ yoga classes on the Fabletics FIT App are my go-to.”
