Gap’s fall denim campaign, fronted by six-piece global girl group KATSEYE, is taking social media by storm.
The multi-part rollout began on Aug. 19, with the central social post: a minute-long dance video to Kelis’ 2003 hit “Milkshake,” starring KATSEYE members Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae. The campaign continues its viral run with behind-the-scenes rehearsal clips, interviews, film photos from set and tutorials from choreographer Robbie Blue, posing the routine to be TikTok’s next big dance trend.
The response has been overwhelming, to say the least, with TikTok comments like “IM GOING TO GAP RN,” and “I’ve never in my life wanted gap jeans until now.” The just-released and already sold-out KATSEYE x Gap Logo Relaxed Hoodie is even more proof of the marketing success.
