The nearly five year-long and 330-concert worldwide Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour marked the forty-ninth, and final, concert tour by English musical legend Elton John. And while the performances officially concluded on July 8, 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden, the musician’s journey continues with his release of Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life on Tour.
The visual and written diary, authored by the icon himself, was first announced in Jan. 2024 and was officially released on Sept. 24 at major online retailers, including Walmart, Target and Amazon, with a limited-edition copy available at Barnes & Noble. The B&N Exclusive Edition features a holographic cover and includes a collectible Elton John poster. Both versions are currently on sale.

Within the 256-page hardcover book, John shares his fondest memories, most unforgettable moments and previously untold stories from the record-breaking Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. Though the final tour is his main focus, the singer also reflects upon the beginning of his career and his life on the road throughout the years.
In addition to written word, John shares his personal archive of posters, sketches and never-before-seen photographs and postcards. Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life on Tour captures the artist’s epic Gucci wardrobe and vibrant set design. Plus, the book begins with a foreword by David Furnish, Elton John’s husband and manager.
