Jesus Christ Superstar is in Los Angeles for the first three nights of August. Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony-winner Cynthia Erivo is set to take on the titular role in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s beloved musical alongside Adam Lambert as Judas.
On July 11, the LA Phil announced additional casting: Milo Manheim (Zed in Disney Channel’s Zombies; Seymour in off-Broadway Little Shop of Horrors) as Peter and Raúl Esparza (Tony-nominated Bobby in Company; Rafael Barba in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as Pontius Pilate. Plus, on July 31, it was announced that John Stamos will replace Josh Gad as Herod due to Covid.
