Marvel and Christian Louboutin’s New Collection Will Transform You Into a Stylish Red-Soled Superhero

The bejeweled capsule debuts with an exclusive comic that introduces Loubi, the entertainment franchise's first fashion designer character.

Christian Louboutin x Marvel Collection

Christian Louboutin and Marvel are joining fashionable forces.

Available online starting today exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue and the luxury footwear label’s website, the 27-piece Louboutin x Marvel collection ($590-$3,995) comprises footwear and bags for women, men and kids. The vibrant Infinity Stones appear as bejeweled finishes on crossbody chain strap bags and the heels of patent calf leather sandals, lace-up loafers and boots in ankle- and knee-high silhouettes.

Louboutin’s signature spike is channeled into heels and stilettos inspired by Namor the Sub-Mariner (most recently played by Tenoch Huerta in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), as seen in crystal-embellished cross-body bags and metallic blue patent leather boots. Other Black Panther touches include Vibranium-inspired leather sneakers and rugged-soled boots with metallic accents and finished with Louboutin’s signature red.

Marvel is also bringing fashion into its universe for the first time with “The Loubiverse Explodes,” co-created with Christian Louboutin himself, and which features the Disney-owned franchise’s first-ever designer, Loubi, on its pages. (Watch the animated campaign video here.) The Louboutin x Marvel capsule coincides with Disney’s 100th anniversary, which is Oct. 18.

The Stan Lee-created franchise has frequently collaborated with streetwear labels and skate brands (including Kith, Stüssy and Vans), but the Louboutin collection is its first foray into the luxury fashion world.

Through Nov. 22, Saks shoppers also get a free gift with any Christian Louboutin X Marvel purchase, while those who purchase from the designer’s website get a digital collectible that can be explored through augmented reality.
