There is no shortage of products out there that promise to help get rid of annoying acne and blemishes, but few products target body acne — the annoying pimples and breakouts that can appear on everywhere other than your face.

That’s why we’ve been avid fans of Bliss’ Clear Genius Body Acne Spray. Developed by the dermatologists and skincare experts at the cruelty-free beauty brand Bliss, this body spray helps to zap zits on your chest, back and other hard-to-reach areas. Spray it just like you would any body spray, and let the powerful formula get to work.

The acne spray uses skin-clearing ingredients like salicylic acid (BHA) to help unclog pores and draw out oil and impurities; witch hazel, for its anti-bacterial properties; and niacinamide, a type of vitamin B3 that helps to minimize pores and even out skin tone. The addition of zinc PCA and cica, meantime, help to soothe skin and reduce redness and scarring.

While regular acne creams and gels can also be used on the body, it’s not always easy to apply (especially for the dreaded back acne, or back-ne). This acne spray works just like a spray sunscreen, evenly distributing a light mist where you need it the most. In our experience, it dries quickly and doesn’t leave a film or sticky coating. No need to rub the spray into your skin either.

As someone with sensitive skin, the Bliss formula has been super gentle and non-irritating. Most of our body acne has faded within a week, and there is no residual scarring or redness. We like that it’s also unscented.

Reviewers online agree, giving the Bliss Clear Genius Body Acne Spray a 4.3-star rating (out of five) from hundreds of verified reviews. Users rave about the effectiveness of the product and how easy the spray bottle is to use. Many suggest using the spray on dry skin after a shower, though they note that it’ll only work with consistent use. As one reviewer puts it, “It takes a few different times to start showing results, but [afterwards] it worked perfect for me!”
