Pickleball continues to explode in popularity, creating a new niche in fashion offerings from luxe labels and sportswear brands alike. Everyone from Selena Gomez to Ellen DeGeneres is getting in on the game, while Michael B. Jordan, Drake, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, Chris Evert and Michael Phelps are among the star investors in Major League Pickleball teams.
On March 4 and 5, Charlize Theron will host the 20th annual Desert Smash charity celebrity tennis tournament, which will include its first-ever pickleball challenge. Last September, the inaugural Pickle! for Purpose Celebrity Pickleball Invitational took over Pepperdine University in Malibu, where stars such as James Marsden and Sophia Bush attended in support of the Targeting Emotional and Mental Stability (TEAMS) Act.
