The brand’s distinctive Dutch oven and saucepans with domed lids were first introduced in 1973 by Italian designer Enzo Mari, and they’re become family heirlooms of sorts ever since, with parents and grandparents passing them down from generation to generation. Le Creuset products’ durable construction and consistent cooking surfaces continue to make them a go-to choice for both professional chefs and amateur cooks alike. And while the brand soared in popularity after Covid (and all the time we spent cooking at home), they haven’t wavered on quality. Le Creuset says they still adhere to the same production process first developed at the original foundry in northern France.
