When Miranda Priestly delivered that — yes — devilish dressing down of Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada, she couldn’t have possibly predicted that her words would one day come back to haunt her.
That iconic speech about the cerulean blue sweater, which Meryl Streep’s Priestly implied that Anne Hathaway’s Andy “no doubt, fished out of some clearance bin,” is suddenly on everyone’s minds again, as The Devil Wears Prada 2 stomps into theaters next month and 20th Century Studios launches new movie merch… on Amazon?
Yes, the mass retailer has an official Devil Wears Prada merch shop, with T-shirts, tote bags, novelty mugs and accessories inspired by quotable lines from the first film and new motifs from the upcoming sequel. While it’s an easy way for fans to grab some branded merch or apparel, the decision for the film studio to partner with Amazon (along with another fast fashion collab with Target) begs the question: did they fall down and smack their little heads on the pavement?

The new partnerships are seemingly the exact thing the original film — and Streep’s character — was deriding: an idea of castaway costumes with cavalier disregard for actual craftsmanship or composition, “filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic casual corner,” or well.. onto Amazon.com.
The irony is not lost on us that these “print on demand” products are the exact items Miranda Priestly would’ve likely pursed her lips at, but as a way to appeal to the wider fandom — I.e. those who can’t afford the Chanel boots — we suppose the Amazon and Target releases represent a little bit of aesthetic accessibility. While the first Prada film positioned the fashion world as a haughty insiders club, the sequel’s merch collection seems to promote expression over exclusivity. All of the Amazon pieces are available in dozens of colors, graphics and sizes, letting the customer customize just what they want — and how they want to wear it.
And while a million girls would’ve killed for Andy’s job in the original film, with the new Devil Wears Prada merch collection on Amazon, a million girls can actually get their hands on one of the pieces in time for the sequel.
Here’s a look at what’s available from the official Devil Wears Prada 2 merch and clothing collections on Amazon and Target.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 Gird Your Loins Movie Quote T-Shirt
$22.99
“I’m sure you have plenty more poly-blend where that came from,” quipped Stanley Tucci’s Nigel in the original film. Well we have some good news: all of Amazon’s Devil Wears Prada 2 T-shirts are made from 100% cotton, including this unisex tee, which features Nigel’s famous phrase when Miranda pulls up to the office early.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 Miranda Priestly T-Shirt
$22.99
“You have no style or sense of fashion,” Miranda famously scoffed. It’s no Gabbana, but dare we say, this Miranda tee looks pretty stylish? The classic fit T-shirt features an illustrated graphic of the Runway editor under dramatic red font showcasing her name.
The Devil Wears Prada Fashion Runway T-Shirt
$22.99
We like the vintage appeal of this T-shirt, available in white or heather gray and inspired by runway show invitations from New York and Paris Fashion Week. Choose from sizes for men, women and children, ranging from XS to 6XL.
The Devil Wears Prada Miranda Priestly Quote Mug
$17.99
This official Devil Wears Prada mug sends a Miranda-approved message to those around you if you’d rather drink your coffee in peace at the office or at home. The ceramic mug holds 11 oz. of liquid and is dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe.
The Devil Wears Prada Stainless Steel Tumbler
$28.99
You can also take your drinks to go with this official tumbler, which is insulated to keep beverages hot or cold for hours at a time. The 20 oz. travel tumbler is made from stainless steel and comes with a leak-proof lid with sliding opening.
Tweezerman Devil Wears Prada Eyelash Curler
$22.00
Tweezerman has an official collaboration with the new Devil Wears Prada movie and the collection includes this eyelash curler in a red colorway. Andy may not have known what an eyelash curler was in the original film, but this one comes with a handy instruction manual and three rounded silicone lash pads, so you can’t go wrong.
The Tweezerman x Devil Wears Prada 2 collaboration also includes a nail file, fingernail clippers and tweezers. Shop the products on Amazon.com.
As mentioned earlier, Target also has a Devil Wears Prada 2 collection available online. The department store pieces include sweatshirts, T-shirts and even pajama pants inspired by the film.
Devil Wears Prada Fashion Sketchbook Sweatshirt
$41.99
This officially-licensed sweatshirt features a trendy oversized fit in a thick and cozy fleece material. We like the dropped shoulders, the thick crewneck collar and the split hem. Choose from multiple prints on the front, include this collage-style “sketchbook” print shown here.
Devil Wears Prada Character Graphic Cardigan
$30
Well, this movie-inspired cardigan is actually made from a polyester blend, but it’s a great pick-up for fans of the film to wear to the office or as a light layering piece. The classic fit cardigan features with a red stiletto heel logo on the front and an illustration of Miranda, Emily and Andy on the back, accompanied by the text, “Everybody Wants To Be Us.” The cardigan buttons up with front snaps and features a regular fit. Choose from sizes XXS to 3X.
Devil Wears Prada ‘Not Just Blue’ Graphic Tank
$14.99
Perhaps the biggest example of a jumped the shark moment is this Target tank top, which features Miranda’s now-infamous quote about how fashion choices are made. The irony of this racerback tank? It’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis but it’s not cerulean blue either. Target sells the top in a faded “heather blue” colorway. Not wonderful.
You can browse and shop all the merch offerings and movie gift ideas on Amazon.com and Target.com.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1. You can rent or purchase the original film here on Prime Video.
