But La Mer doesn’t come cheap: it starts at $100 for a half-ounce jar at Nordstrom and Sephora, and third-party Amazon sellers typically sell it for $300 and up on the e-commerce giant’s Premium Beauty site.

Though it’s designed as a night cream, we’ve used Mario Badescu’s Seaweed Cream as a daily and it’s kept our skin soft and supple through the day. It’s great for layering on before travel too, to keep your skin nourished through the dry airplane flights.
Though we also use La Mer, we’ve been interchanging it with this dupe and can say our skin has never felt — or looked — better. While La Mer can be quite heavy and greasy sometimes, this affordable “dupe” glides on super easily and absorbs quickly into the skin. Note that La Mer has a creamy white color while the Badescu dupe comes in a frothy green.
