Editor’s note: Amazon announced its Prime Big Deal Days (often referred to as “Fall Prime Day 2023”) will take place Oct. 10 and 11 — see all of our latest coverage here.
Amazon Prime Day, aka the Super Bowl for online deal hunters, is almost over. (And yes, the “day” actually spans 48 hours.) The Hollywood Reporter‘s team of lifestyle experts and shopping editors have scoured countless spreadsheets and pages of deals to find more than 50 essential deals and the biggest discounts to shop in the final hours of Prime Day 2023.

After weeks of hype, the two-day shopping event officially kicked off on July 11 with up to 75 percent off Amazon’s own lineup of devices (including Fire TVs and tablets), up to 60 percent top-rated electronics from Apple and Sony, up to 50 percent off Barbie products and Prime Video channels, up to 40 percent off best-selling beauty and designer fashion, up to 40 percent off Bose headphones and soundbars, Amazon Essentials and Simple Joys by Carter’s clothing starting at $10, epic deals on Dyson and Theragun and much more. Per Amazon, “new deals will drop every 30 minutes during select periods throughout the event.”
Amazon rolled out early Prime Day deals on its own devices and bundles, back-to-school essentials, college must-haves and popular products from small businesses (including Black-, women-, and military family-owned brands and independent makers). Now that the big shopping day has come, there are even deeper discounts to shop today and tomorrow.

There are two new ways to save this year on Prime Day: invite-only offers and Buy with Prime. Below, we’ve outlined everything you need to know about Prime Day 2023, including the exact end date and time, how to save beyond Amazon.com and more.
In a hurry? Scroll down to the end of the page for our roundup of the best Prime Day deals organized by category.
When Does Amazon Prime Day 2023 End?
Amazon Prime Day 2023 started Tuesday, July 11, at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET and ends Wednesday, July 12 at midnight PT (or July 13 at 3 a.m. ET).
If you want to access Prime Day 2023 deals, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $15 monthly or $139 annually. Member benefits include free two-day shipping, same-day delivery, access to content on Amazon Prime Video, exclusive savings and free two-hour delivery on Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods Market groceries, access to Prime Try Before You Buy and personal shopping services, special deals on subscriptions and other perks. Amazon Prime store cardholders also receive 5 percent cash back on purchases.
Prime members can sign up for alerts for personalized deals on online doorbusters ahead of the event. Those who don’t yet have an Amazon Prime membership can sign up for a 30-day free trial.

Though it’s too late to earn Prime Day shopping credits, there are other ways to stay on top of the deals. One way to guarantee that you find out about the best Prime Day 2023 discounts is by signing up for the invite-only deals program, subscribing to deal alerts through the Prime Day event page, following your favorite brands, using the Amazon Shopping app and setting reminders via the Alexa voice assistant. You’ll receive personalized push notifications on recently viewed items and more, and you can ask Alexa to add products to your Cart, Wish List or Save for Later list and then request deal notifications on those items.
Wondering how to sign up for invite-only deals? Prime members can get access by going to each product page and clicking on “Request invite” (where the Buy button is usually located). Prime Day shoppers can score discounts beyond Amazon.com using Buy with Prime, a perk that allows you to shop early deals directly from brands such as Briogeo Haircare, Anker, Wyze and others.
If you plan on shopping on a computer or mobile browser, we suggest bookmarking the Amazon Prime Day 2023 landing page, where you’ll be able to find currently discounted products as well as everything on sale — including limited-time Lightning Deals — during the event. Pro tip for desktop shoppers: Filter the deal types by selecting from the left side of the page; you can choose from Top Deals, Lightning and more options.
Prime members enjoy three free months of unlimited reading with a new subscription to Kindle Unlimited (regularly $13 per month). Shoppers can also get product recommendations from celebrities, influencers and creators. Marianna Hewitt, Whitney Port, Tayshia Adams and Rocky Barnes are among those who are curating deals and offering exclusive promo codes at their Amazon storefronts, while stars including Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno and the co-hosts of Revolt’s Black Girl Stuff will host Prime Day livestreams. Learn more here.
Those who are eligible for the Prime Visa credit card can also get a $200 Amazon gift card instantly upon approval. Cardmembers with an eligible Prime membership can earn 5 percent back on purchases at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market; learn more about the offer and terms and conditions here.
What Are the Best Alternatives to Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon isn’t the only online store that will be hosting summer deals. Many more major retailers often compete with their own multiday sales, such as Best Buy, Overstock, Target, Walmart and others.
Without further ado, below are the best Amazon Prime Day deals to shop right now, all organized by category. We recommend bookmarking this page as we’ll be updating it regularly with new Lightning Deals and many more finds.
